Unlike a number of their musical contemporaries their output is extremely varied and also more mainstream but can also be just as gritty and earthy when ever the mood takes them. 

Founder members Don Barnes and Donnie Van Zant (brother, Johnny & the late Ronnie Van Zant) are still rockin’ with this great outfit. They have released at least twenty albums to date with three achieving platinum status.
