Dio

Dio are one of the greatest Heavy Metal bands of all time taking their name from their founding member Ronnie James Dio the former Rainbow vocalist. After a period with Black Sabbath Ronnie James Dio decided to form his own band in the early 1980’s, a move that was to prove successful in the formation of such a prolific band. 1983 saw the release of Dio’s first Album, the highly acclaimed ‘Classic’ ‘Holy Diver’ which highlighted the great guitar playing of Vivian Campbell. 

The original line up also included Jimmy Bain on bass and Vinny Appice on drums who went on to record two more albums ‘The Last In Line’ in 1984, and ‘Sacred Heart’ in 1985 which were both augmented with keyboards. The band are still active and creating top quality rock with Craig Goldy on guitar and Rudy Sarzo on bass. Classic tracks include ‘Stand Up and Shout’, ‘Straight Through The Heart’, ‘We Rock’, and ‘The Last In Line’.
