Free are one the greatest British Rock bands spawned in the late sixties at the end of the blues boom having been endorsed by Broadcaster & Blues Guitarist Alexis Korner were signed by Island Records in 1968.

Free had so much talent in the form of Paul ‘The Voice’ Rodgers whose vocal chords were so well suited to their raw blues based songs also played with great aplomb by Paul ‘The Kos’ Kossoff on lead guitar, Andy Fraser on bass and Simon Kirke on drums. It was all over by 1972 but their classics remain untarnished by time.

Allright Now, Fire and Water and the magical ‘Wishing Well’ are some of Free’s most memorable recordings.
