Gov't Mule

Government Mule are a Southern Rock splinter band from The Allman Brothers, more recently categorized as a Jam Band. Their influences lie in the late sixties which may account for their diverse choice of material. Formed in the late 1980’s the band have two original members, drummer Matt Abts and lead vocalist & guitar player Warren Haynes who served his time playing with rebellious country star David Allen Coe, The Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers.

This band have a reputation of stretching out and redefining some of the classics by Free, Hendrix and Black Sabbath. Some of these songs can be twenty minutes or more in length in live situations.
