Grateful Dead

Grateful Dead are one of the earliest pioneering West Coast Psychedelic bands that who evolved through the ‘Haight-Ashbury’ scene in San Francisco in the late 1960’s. ‘The Dead’ are a truly monumental band of epic proportions when you consider their diverse and eclective range of material and the longevity of the band with all of it’s associated offshoots and splinter groups. 

The surviving band members have had various re-unions but since the death of founder member Gerry Garcia in 1995 have ceased to function in their original form. Ron ‘Pigpen’ McKernan another founder member & keyboard player died in 1973.

So much great music from this band including songs such as ‘Truckin’,‘St Stephen’ and ‘Dark Star’. Grateful Dead were inducted into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
