Led Zeppelin |

Led Zeppelin were the most powerful force in British Rock in the 1970’s with a timeless range of wailing epic guitar riffs & vocals that carried all before them. Zeppelin’s secret formula was their musical alchemy and the imagery that they brought to life in the songs that they were able to perform as well on stage as they did within the studio. Jimmy Page the guitarist had been a session player as had bassist John Paul Jones, they had honed their craft to near perfection but it was their live performances that were to enthrall audiences, with the dynamics further enhanced by the soaring vocals of Robert Plant and some of the heaviest rock drumming ever heard from John Bonham. |

The band were managed by the late Peter Grant, he was one of the reasons that Zeppelin became successful as they benefited financially from his guidance and experience when dealing with promoters & record companies. With Peter Grant’s help Zeppelin founded their own Swansong Label in 1974. John Bonham died in 1980 which was the end of an era. Classic Led Zeppelin songs include ‘Immigrant Song’,‘Whole Lotta Love’, and ‘Stairway to Heaven’. |
