Moby Grape

Moby Grape were much more than just another 1960’s Psychedelic Rock outfit from San Francisco, they were all multi talented songwriters who somehow failed to exploit their full potential as a band. 

Guitarist Skip Spence who had previously played drums with Jefferson Airplane was a ‘prime mover’ within the band. Skip died in 1999 after a downward spiral of addiction which was to contribute to his premature demise. Moby Grape played The Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, but their footage was excluded from the official film of the festival.
