Mountain

Mountain are one of the best American Bands formed in the late 1960’s, their musical pedigree and classic songs have assured them of a permanent place next to their close relations Cream. Guitarist Leslie West and Bassist & Producer Felix Pappalardi along with Drummer Corky Laing were the main players in this outfit, who were connected to Cream through Felix Pappalardi who produced albums for British rock legends Cream.

Mountain performed to great acclaim at Woodstock in 1969 and went on to produce several important albums including their debut ‘Climbing’ in 1970 and the Classic Nantucket Sleighride in 1971. Various incarnations of Mountain still come and go but their halcyon period was during the early 1970’s. Felix Pappalardi was shot and killed in 1983 by his wife songwriter Gail Collins, a sad end for such a talented musician. Classic tracks include ‘Mississippi Queen’ & ‘Theme For an Imaginary Western’.
