The name of this band really gives you more than just a clue, yes it’s fun and musical frolics all the way. The big question is what really is holding the Yellin Yettis “15 quid drum kit together”. Five star entertainment!
The Boozie Woozies line up as follows:
Paul Kister - Lead guitar/vocals, Horace Dogson - Bass guitar/vocals, Andy Stones - Keyboards/Lead Vocals, Yellin Yetti - “15 quid drum kit”.
Fun starts at 9.30pm at the Hoppocket Carr Lane Chorley

Bj’s Blues Club at the Hoppocket in Chorley last Thursday 11th June.
The After Hours Blues Band - This is a band that never fails to impress with their first class material or the impressive covers of the greats like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Rory Gallagher which seems to be the staple diet for bands who have to survive on the blues/rock circuit.
This is a band made up of three rock and roll survivors who are able to stamp their own musical identity on every song they perform.
On lead guitar Lee Wharton is the supreme guitar maestro who fronts the band and handles the vocals as well. Doug Long is a sterling five string bass man who also makes the extra fills when needed, lifting the dynamics of the rythm section when required.
On drums Pete Munday is a unique percussionist who builds layers of timpani sounds with his symbols to great effect on the slower and more atmospheric songs.
Without doubt the highlight of the second set is a tuly fantastic version of Voodoo Child segued with Machine Gun which then extends into the bands own take of improvised combat in Vietnam. Lee Wharton machine guning and dive bombing his guitar and amplifier almost into extinction is a man possessed by a fiery musical demon who has been touched by the spirit of the omnipresent Mr Hendrix. A truly awesome and stunning musical climax guaranteed to raise the hairs on the back of your neck.
After Hours Blues Band is back at BJ’s Blues Club on 26th November 2009.
