Rory Gallagher & Taste

Rory Gallagher is one of the most admired and respected guitarists of his time, starting out with Taste in the late 60’s and then fronting his own band through the 70’s & 80’s his contribution to Rock & Blues is monumental. The Rory Gallagher story is really about someone who played it from the heart and never lost sight of his roots and the music he played which was the rawest stripped down version of the blues you could find in the 1970’s.

He was always his own man and never pandered to commerciality which made him such an icon for so many budding guitarists.

Check out ‘The Irish Tour’ to find out how good this guitarist was as a live act.

Other great albums were Against The Grain and Calling Card. We lost Rory Gallagher in 1995; there was simply, no one like him!
