The Allman Brothers Band

The Allman Brothers Band were one of the first Southern bands to blaze a trail across the U.S. in the early 1970’s, having created some of the most memorable music in that period. The Allmans were to survive the tragic deaths of guitar player Duane Allman and Bassist Berry Oakley to go on to even greater success with guitarist Dickey Betts penning their biggest hits ‘Jessica’ and ‘Ramblin Man’ in 1973.

The ever present Greg Allman on Keyboards has held the band together since they were formed in 1969, with a line up featuring two drummers giving the band an extra edge in the rhythm section. They have also had a number of different guitarists more recently including Warren Haynes & Derek Trucks.

Classic Albums are Eat A Peach in 1972 & Brothers and Sisters in 1973. The first Jam Band still rocks.
