The Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones are a Rock & roll phenomenon who have never lost their zest for live performance, the living legends still play ‘hot licks’. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are the mainstays of this band, with a unique song writing partnership they have created so many classic good time rock classics that have been covered by so many other bands & artistes.

They appeared in the surreal film Rock & Roll Circus in 1968 with The Who, Jethro Tull and John Lennon; it was to appear as a bootleg album, but the concert footage was to prove what an energetic ‘live wire’ performer Jagger was on stage and was to be Brian Jones last recorded performance with the Stones. The Altamont Free Concert in 1969 with The Stones headlining with Jefferson Airplane and Santana was also recorded for their film Gimme Shelter. Classic songs from this late sixties period were ‘Sympathy For The Devil’, ‘Street Fighting Man’ & ‘Gimme Shelter’.
