The Who

The Who are one of the great British Rock bands from the 1960’s who sang the famous line “hope I die before I get old”, two of them did. Drummer Keith “The loon” Moon died in 1978 and Bassist John “The Ox” Entwistle who died in 2002 were both victims of an over indulgent rock & roll lifestyle. Their contribution to the band was enormous but it was the song writing and guitar playing of Pete Townsend with the stage presence of vocalist Roger Daltrey who became the focal point of The Who.

The band performed at The Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 famously attacking and trashing their instruments at the end of their set. Putting stage theatrics to one side, the Who have written their names into the annals of rock history as one of the top bands of all time.

Classic tracks from the late 1960’ include ‘The Magic Bus’ & ‘I Can See For Miles’. The Who Live At Leeds shows them at their best.
