Thin Lizzy |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Irish Rockers Thin Lizzy are still one of the most underrated bands of their time and one of the best live outfits of the 1970’s. The charismatic Phil Lynott was the front man and bass player who was responsible for creating the ‘hard rocker’ image that the band projected. Lizzy used to great effect their twin lead guitar sound which gave them a distinct sound similar to Wishbone Ash who were the first British Band to adopt this approach. Add to this Lynott’s driving bass and a macho posture with Brian Downey’s thundering skin work and you had the essential Thin Lizzy. |

Their roster of lead guitarists was impressive and included Eric Bell, Brian Robertson, Scott Gorham, Gary Moore & Snowy White. Although Lizzy called it a day in 1984 and Phil Lynott died two years later their music lives on in a reformed version of the band which plays all the songs that made the band so famous. Classic songs include, ‘Emerald’, ‘The Rocker’, ‘Jailbreak’ and ‘Bad Reputation’. |
